Privacy policy

Last updated: October 21, 2026

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit proudparents.online, take the quiz, leave your email or buy Murphy's Law for Kids, what we use it for, who we share it with and the choices you have.

1. Who we are

Proud Parents is responsible for your information. Contact: [email protected].

2. What we collect

What you give us: your email when you take the quiz or check out, and your quiz answers (everyday situations, your kid's age range and whether you chose boy or girl). What your order generates: what you bought, when and for how much. Technical data saved with your order to measure and protect the service: IP address, browser, the page you came from, the ad campaign parameters that brought you and, if present, the Meta pixel cookies.

Your card details are handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see your full card number. Stripe keeps your card saved for the one-click offers you accept after your purchase, and we only keep the reference Stripe gives us.

3. What we use it for

To deliver what you bought and answer your questions. To remind you about an order you left unfinished, send you your quiz result and occasional emails about our books; you can unsubscribe with one click in any of them. To measure the ads that bring us visitors, with the Meta pixel and the Conversions API, sending your email only in hashed form. To prevent fraud and chargebacks, and to meet legal, accounting and tax obligations.

4. Cookies

We use cookies that are needed for the site to work: the one that links your order to your browser so you can pick it up again, the one that lets you accept offers with one click for an hour after paying, the one that remembers you took the quiz, and the offer timer, which stays in your browser. We also use the Meta pixel cookies to measure our ads. You can block cookies in your browser settings; without the necessary ones, checkout may not work.

5. Who we share it with

Only with the providers that make the service work, and only what each one needs: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and file storage), Resend (email delivery), Meta (ad measurement), our hosting provider and Cloudflare (network and security). We may also disclose information when the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.

6. How long we keep it

Order information, for as long as you have access to your purchase and for the periods required by law. Unfinished orders, for as long as needed to remind you. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email on our unsubscribe list so we never write to you again.

7. Security

The site runs over HTTPS, access to data is limited to those who need it, credentials are stored encrypted and each download is served through a link that is personal and short-lived. No system is perfect, but we take care of your information as we take care of ours.

8. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it or delete it, and you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time, by writing to [email protected]. Depending on where you live (for example, California), you may have additional rights under local law; we will honor them.

9. Children

This site and our purchases are for adults. The books are written for kids, but we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we did, we delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its date at the top.

11. Contact

For any question about your information: [email protected].
